By enabling gesture-based control of lights, fans, and other appliances, these “Curtain UIs” demonstrate the feasibility of turning passive textiles into active interfaces. Insights from our design exploration highlight their potential as a medium for tangible, embodied interaction in smart home environments. February 2025 https://youtu.be/acYNIDgBcWc A Virtual Reality Approach to Overcome Glossophobia among University Students This study evaluates “Manch,” a Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) tool designed to reduce Public Speaking Anxiety (PSA) among university students. Conducted with 28 participants, results showed a significant drop in PSA after simulated classroom presentations in a realistic VR environment. Using a case study approach with co-creation sessions and qualitative analysis, it explores user interactions with AR/VR tools at a historical site. Using Panchatantra tales, audiences engage with a tree-shaped narrator via tokens for a multi-modal storytelling experience. Jail Diaries aims to connect users with the history of Indian freedom fighters and their sacrifices for the country by using technology to bring a pop-up book to life. July 2024
