Curtain UI: Augmenting Curtains for Tangible Interactions

This work presents an interactive curtain interface that transforms everyday curtains into touch-sensitive surfaces using capacitive sensing. By enabling gesture-based control of lights, fans, and other appliances, these “Curtain UIs” demonstrate the feasibility of turning passive textiles into active interfaces. Insights from our design exploration highlight their potential as a medium for tangible, embodied interaction in smart home environments.
