Hey! I’m Zubair, a PhD researcher at IIIT Delhi working at the intersection of Extended Reality (XR) and design. My work lives in that exciting space where physical and virtual worlds overlap, and I’m constantly asking: how can we make experiences in XR feel more natural, intuitive, and human?
My research focuses on Tangible XR — combining Tangible User Interfaces (TUI) with XR technologies to create hybrid interactions that feel both functional and immersive. I explore how CAD models can come alive in virtual spaces, how users interact with them, and how design can be pushed further through virtual and mixed reality prototyping.
