Dr. Shoko Kimura Visits CI Lab

We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Shoko Kimura at the Creative Interfaces Lab (CI Lab), IIIT-Delhi. Her visit was centered around a seminar organized by the Center for Design and New Media (CDNM) on Inclusive and Assistive Technologies for Neurodiverse Individuals.

Dr. Kimura delivered an insightful talk titled:
“Initiatives to Advance Physical, Mental, and Neurodiversity Disabilities with Technology in the World (India and Japan)”,
sharing her research and experience.

During her time at CI Lab, she interacted with students, explored our ongoing projects, and engaged in discussions on XR technologies, inclusive design, and assistive tech. We also explored future collaboration opportunities between our labs to work on design and technology-driven solutions for accessibility and inclusion.

Her visit, building on connections made through SIGGRAPH Asia, is a great step toward strengthening Indo-Japanese research ties in human-centered design, art, AI, and assistive technologies.

We are grateful for her visit and excited about the possibilities ahead!
