PhD Students/ Research Assistants
We seek creative, disruptive, and technical Ph.D. student/ Research Assistant(s) (RA) passionate about emerging technology, design, or HCI to join Creative Interfaces Lab to help invent the future of Bharat-Centric HCI and use cases. Applicants who demonstrate expertise and creativity with prototyping electrical/ electronics, mechanical, interaction design, or XR (Unity/ Unreal/ C#) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Industry Sponsored Candidates or Candidates with external funding are always welcome to apply on topics of mutual interest (generally in the field of HCI – XR, Metaverse, or Tangible and Embodied Interactions).
Candidates who want external funding are strongly encouraged to apply under national funding schemes such as PhD fellowships by iHubs, DST, etc.
Exceptional performance as a Research Assistant may open the opportunity to join as a regular PhD student at IIITD.

Bachelors/ Masters Thesis Projects (BTP/MTP)
This position is only available for UG/ PG students from IIITD. We are looking for students to work on our exciting projects in their honors year. Please review our projects and let us know where you want to work. We can also create an entirely new project for you if needed. Just get in touch with us for an informal discussion.
Internships/ Visiting positions
Internships and visiting positions are generally open during the summers (May – July) or winters (Dec – Jan). We may also have the option of a virtual internship if any requirements arise. The internships are unpaid. However, they provide several benefits, including working closely with lab PhD students, co-authorship on academic research papers, recommendation letters, and the opportunity for further study at the Creative Interfaces Lab.
Project openings will be advertised here. At present, we are not accepting internship applications.

New Media Artists
We invite artists who are enthusiastic about exploring emerging technologies to explore creative expressions using XR technologies or physical computing. Just get in touch with us for an informal discussion.
Senior Secondary/ High-school student
We have received numerous inquiries from Senior Secondary School students interested in working at the Creative Interfaces Lab. As an experimental initiative, we are open to hosting a select number of students for a week during the summer (May/June) or winter (Dec/Jan) at a mutually convenient time. This program aims to raise students’ awareness of Design and HCI and introduce them to new technologies. High-school students may also apply.
